I am thrilled to host this blog tour for A Whole New Me book for Adrianna Schuh. I have asked her a few questions to get to know her and the process of her writing her books, which you will find below. I cannot wait to read this.
1. Where do you get your inspiration from?
For this book, my own life, at least in part. The university in the story is somewhat based off where I attended school. And Tessa’s jerk ex boyfriend is based off my jerk ex boyfriend haha. But also I swear I dream about so many book ideas.
2. How did you first get interested in writing?
Probably when I first started reading so many romance books. So maybe 7 or 8 years ago? I was so inspired by and still am inspired by all the amazing indie romance authors I’ve discovered over the years.
This book was years in the making. And I still have my very first WIP tucked away on my computer. Still haven’t finished it!
3. What is a typical working day for you like?
Hmmm. Pretty much trying to squeeze in writing while my son naps or plays haha. But every night I set aside an hour when he’s asleep to write. Even if it has nothing to do with anything. I just try to write something because it keeps me interested if that makes sense?
4. What is your favourite part of the book?
Omg probably the scene where Tessa tells Bronte they’ll be hanging out with Ricky and Aaron for the day. But Aaron has no idea that Bronte will be there. I totally did something like that to two friends once. It was a lot of fun!
5. What advice would you give any new aspiring writers?
I would say just start writing. I think the reason it took me so long to get this book written was because I put such high expectations on myself. Once I just let go, it became easier. It’s not the best thing ever written, but it’s mine and I’m proud of that you know? And now I feel like I can just keep writing. Like something has finally been unlocked.
Whatever story you have inside you, write it, because it matters. 💜
