Book synopsis
We were not provided with a manual when we came into this world but it is hoped that this book will be the next best thing. For this book explains the human condition. This is how it is.
How can we function as sophisticated emotional beings when we can neither understand nor control our emotions? That is THE question.
Am I Loved? defines the human condition and the fundamental roles played in our existence by the greatest of all human needs, the need to be loved. It translates the language and reveals the purpose of our emotions so that, at last, we can understand and take charge of them.’Am i loved? examines, explains, and empowers the reader by answering The Big Question in a serious and thoughtful way.’ Don Luciano, TV producer and magazine editor, including Vanity Fair.
– ‘Am I Loved? is a thought-provoking, beautifully written book which explores the human condition from an entirely original perspective. It continues where Richard Dawkins and Steven Pinker left off presenting a carefully evidenced understanding of life which is ground breaking in its implications. The blend of philosophy and psychology theory takes the reader on a unique journey and, as a psychiatrist, I found the level of theoretical integration both sound and successful. It provides a new understanding of a universal experience which was previously hardly understood at all. This is an important book.’ Dr N J Cooling, Consultant psychiatrist MBBS MRCPsych Dip Clin Psych
Bieber’s latest book will get you thinking in new ways about the very basis of personal fulfilment and happiness. This thought provoking work is insightfull and stimulating and written in an almost poetic style.
