About the Author

My review
I have always been fascinated about the time surrounding World War Two and this book really throws you into that time.
This book is so well written and if you love historical fiction then you really should read this. It was amazing the depth of the explanations telling you what was happening to these poor people.
I felt so many emotions reading this and some of the things that I read broke my heart. The first almost hundred pages all of the characters are being introduced and something terrible happens and then as the book goes on you can see how all of these characters entwined with one another. I cannot say much more as I do not want to ruin this story for anyone wanting to read it.
Absolutely loved it though and it’s reignited my passion for historical fiction again.
