About the author

Originally hailing from the north coast of Northern Ireland and now residing in South Manchester, Chris McDonald has always been a reader. At primary school, The Hardy Boys inspired his love of adventure, before his reading world was opened up by Chuck Palahniuk and the gritty world of crime.
He’s a fan of 5-a-side football, has an eclectic taste in music ranging from Damien Rice to Slayer and loves dogs.

My review

I haven’t read any of the other books in this series but that didn’t stop me being able to understand this one. I really enjoyed it and the characters were likeable too. Very well written and a real page turner of a book for me.

I oved finding out about who Adam and Colin were, our main characters. They go about solving a case after they find Gerald Agnew dead and because he is the town drunk no one thinks it is murder but Adam and Colin have other thoughts on this and go about solving this case.

It has a real Christmas feel to it and it’s nice to read something set at Christmas. Nice to read something different to other Christmas books I tend to read this time of the year.

One word of warning though, if you read this one and haven’t the others you will definitely want to read them just like I do now!
