My review
This book will always hold a special place in my heart! I absolutely loved it. The story follows Thomas True on his journey to London to work for his uncle. There, he encounters Gabriel, a carpenter who is Thomas’s complete opposite. Together, they dive into the nightlife of Molly houses, where Gabriel is a Molly guard.
The narrative was filled with unforeseen twists, intricate turns, and profound sorrow, presenting a compelling story that sent my emotions on a rollercoaster.
The book’s meticulous research is evident, showcasing the author’s passion. It’s exceptionally well-written. I’ve also enjoyed ‘The Spirit Engineer’ by the same author.
I highly recommend this book to everyone. It’s definitely one of my top ten books of the year!
