Materials
4mm needles
Yarn
Darning needle
Cable needle
Gauge
20 sts and 24 rows = 4″ (10cm)
Special abbreviations for cabling
C6F: Sl 3 to cable needle and hold in front, k3, k3 from cable needle.
C6B: Sl 3 to cable needle and hold in back, k3, k3 from cable needle.
T5F: Sl 3 to cable needle and hold in front, p2, k3 from cable needle.
T5B: Sl 2 to cable needle and hold in back, k3, p2 from cable needle.
Cabled Cosy Pattern
Cast on 25 sts.
Row 1 (RS): K3, p2, T5F, T5B, T5F, p2, k3
Row 2: K5, p3, k4, p6, k7
Row 3: K3, p4, C6F, p4, k3, p2, k3
Row 4: K5, p3, k4, p6, k7
Row 5: K3, p2, T5B, T5F, T5B, p2, k3.
Row 6: K7, p6, k4, p3, k5
Row 7: K3, p2, k3, p4, C6B, p4, k3. Row 8: K7, p6, k4, p3, K5
Rep rows 1–8 until piece measures 8″ or as long as you wish
Finishing
Cast off in pattern.
Attach your buttons to one end and add loops to the other end of the cosy for attaching when on your cup.
