What’s In Your Carry-Bag or Purse?

When it comes to managing our day-to-day life, often our experience is defined by the utilities and amenities we bring with us in order to keep us active and engaged. Often, this means curating that which we hold in our carry-bags, rucksacks, or purses on a daily basis, be that to help us when visiting a friend, heading to work, or simply going shopping for the day.

It’s quite interesting to realize that what we have in our carry-bags can define the scope of our day and will serve as an extension of our personalities. So, we ask you, what do you hold in yours? In this post, we’ll discuss a few items you may find worth bringing along, or help you redesign the usual combination of goods you bring with you when you’re out and about.

This might sound like an obvious consideration, but sometimes, we may realize that the items we bring with us no longer serve a purpose, are outdated, or could be changed for something else. Let’s consider:

Lip Balms & Moisturizers

Lip balms and moisturizers can make a massive difference in how well your face is cared for during the day. This is especially important during the cold of winter, where cracked skin can be a problem.

A healthy lip balm can not only prevent cold sores and your lips from cracking up, but can contribute to fighting unhealthy bacterias. Moisturizers can also help your skin remain protected against a range of effects from unhealthy weather or temperature exposure. This is not to mention that when you apply these products, however you find them appropriate to use, you will feel a sense of refreshment that you may need. This can help you stay your most fresh and engaged self throughout the day.

Face Masks & Hand Sanitizers

Of course, while restrictions have lifted in many areas now, it can’t hurt to have face masks and hand sanitizers on hand for you to use throughout the day. Even if you’re fully vaccinated, having these on hand can help you both reduce the chance of catching Covid as well as reducing the chances that you’ll spread it.

Some are saying that even when this pandemic is reduced to a manageable and easily countered issue, like the flu or colds that go around once a year, this pandemic has shown us all the value of regular mask-wearing and other precautionary measures we may not have experienced otherwise. For instance, up until now, many Asian countries have found it worthwhile to wear masks, which also doubles as a good way to limit the harm of exposure to pollution within inner-cities. The more this is seen as a norm instead of a politicized and vitriolic issue, the better.

Simple Medications & Aids

It’s healthy to make sure you have the medications you may need during the day, for obvious reasons. Never leaving home without an inhaler, for instance, is essential for many people. However, it can also be healthy to have a small source of medication you may need to stay healthy. Canesten Duo for thrush, or medication for incontinence, or extra pads you may need, all of this can help you out of a tough spot while also allowing you to live your day with more confidence.

There’s nothing wrong with needing something to help you on a day-to-day basis like this. Tablets for heartburn, or pore-blockers for those who may sweat more than others can make a massive difference going forward. With simple medication and aids, you’ll gain peace of mind.

Portable Phone Charger/Spare Battery Charger

Unfortunately, many modern smartphones, while offering huge screen sizes and a range of features you may never even use (people even shoot full feature films on iPhones now), this innovation sometimes comes at the expense of a phone that can even last a full day on charge. Having a spare charger, a spare battery you can switch out, a spare phone with its own cheap SIM card, or a portable battery charger that contains its own transferable ‘juice’ can make a big difference.

The last thing that any of us need is to have no phone while out and about. This might sound silly to those who have lived most of their young lives without a mobile phone, but in this odd world, a phone can also be an essential source of safety and security. Going without that, then, is not always a good idea.

With this advice, we hope you can cultivate all you need in your carry-bag or purse as appropriate. What do you keep in yours?
