About the Author
Rebecca L. Marsh is an award-winning author of women’s fiction and member of the Paulding County Writer’s Guild. She grew up in the mountains of western North Carolina, and now lives in Dallas, Georgia with her husband.
She is a Christian, a mother to a beautiful daughter, and an animal lover. When she isn’t writing, she enjoys spending time with her family (cats and dog included), reading a good book, watching a movie, or playing a game.

My review
Even though this book is the third one in a series, the Princess Island series, I still managed to work out who the characters were and how they all fit into the story. The narrative weaves an emotional tapestry, delicately exploring the intricacies of family relationships and the bonds that hold them together through thick and thin. The story kicks off with a gripping incident involving the teenager Maisy, drawing you into the drama right from the start. Moreover, it bravely tackles significant issues like drug abuse, portrayed through the struggles of another person connected to the family.
As someone who hadn’t read the previous books in the Princess Island series, it was a pleasant surprise to find that the author skilfully filled in enough background for new readers to fully grasp and appreciate the evolving dynamics between characters. Every chapter adds depth and layers, unveiling secrets and new perspectives that keep you hooked.
I will warn you, though: this book is nothing short of amazing, and it will leave you yearning to read the entire series, which I am now eagerly planning to do. The characters become so vividly real as you delve deeper into the book that by the end, they almost feel like long-lost friends you are reluctant to part with. If you are anything like me, you will find yourself saddened by the thought of leaving them behind.
